Your cost of admission gets you into both the Tyler Mini Maker Faire and the Discovery Science Place exhibits. We encourage you to explore the museum, along with all of the Maker Faire booths.
Discovery Science Place features three main galleries of hands-on science exploration and fun.
Discovery Landing– features some of our iconic pieces such as the discovery cave and the research ship. This gallery is filled with activities ranging from a climbing wall to a small 3D theater to a dino dig pit to a kinetics gallery.
Hometown– features a kid-sized version of Tyler, complete with a Brookshires store, vet clinic, Mother Francis baby nursery, Smith County courthouse, a cafe, and multiple hands-on activities in “Maker Park” including our new Discovery Science Place train set and Imagination Playground.
Orion: Journey to Mars is our newest exhibit hall- featuring a mock up of NASA’s new Orion space capsule, a remote-controlled Mars rover, and multiple hands-on space science related activities to enjoy. Don’t forget to see the actual lunar sample (moon rock) on display in the lobby until June!
